Because our time on this planet is short, I’ve always believed in living life to the full. But doing this requires a positive mental attitude: it’s fundamental to achieving our goals.

There’s a fine line between winning and losing

Being immersed in business, sport, family and community from an early age, I experienced both winning and losing.

But while the smallest of margins often separated one from the other, the euphoria of winning, versus the despair of losing, was – and is – the size of the ocean.

Why?

My life experiences have taught me that ‘the winner’ is very often not the person with the greatest ability: instead, it’s usually the person with the biggest heart, the strongest will to win, and the greatest inner self-belief.

Knowing this has always motivated me to take on challenges so that I can break down barriers and become the best version of myself, whatever I do.

On a professional level, this mindset led me to work as a senior sales leader with Apple (USA and EMEA), Dell (UK and Australia), and EMC (Northern EMEA, Benelux, Eastern Europe and Russia) for more than 15 years.

And on a personal level too, that same positive mental attitude – and the need to always move forward – has led me to become a serial marathoner, triathlete, and adventurer cyclist.

Since 2013 I have been working as a high-performance business and executive coach, keynote speaker, sales trainer, and author.
